GRITA MEXICO - 09/25

- Claudia Sheinbaum, the country's president, was the first woman to give the country's annual Grito de Dolores.

-The Cry of Dolores occurred in Dolores, Mexico, on 16 September 1810, when Roman Catholic priest Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla rang his church bell and gave the call to arms that triggered the Mexican War of Independence. The Cry of Dolores is most commonly known by the locals as El Grito de Independencia.

-This cry is replicated in most of Mexico cities, by local authorities.

-Do not get it mixed up with "5 de Mayo" , it is not Mexico's Independence Day.

• Sunday ,21 de septiembre (Equinoccio de Primavera).

-Do not forget to bring flowers to the women in your life. Most southamerican countries (Argentina, Chile, Uruguay y Paraguay) celebrate the end of winter .This date is also known as: Dia del amor, dia del estudiante ,Dia del medico, etc.
